  2. Having used this camera for a few months it has been disappointing. The HD video is excellent; however, the video format requires a special program to get off the camera and that program can’t export to a file on your computer that can be edited in a normal program.

The picture quality is mediocre with discoloration in corners/edges and lots of noise.

The battery life is mediocre and having an extra battery is a must.

The underwater video/photos are great; however, it comes with lots of warnings about replacing seals so we will see how it does in a year.

  3. Because this purchase was not directly from Amazon, this pricey little item did not qualify for free shipping. It would have from Amazon. Shipping is very important for us in Hawaii.

  4. I purchased along with a panasonc lumix camera. They sent me a wrong battery model. It spoiled my photography chances in the middle of Rome,Italy trip…

  5. Of course this is a great 2nd Battery as I paid the $31 for it. Yes it seems a bit expensive but there was no other working option from what I could see from the reviews.

  6. Only 4 stars because panasonic locked other batteries out via a firmware update. I don’t think that’s fair but this battery has performed flawlessly.
